Ads.txt and App-ads.txt Validation with Clickio
The Clickio Ads.txt Validator is a built-in tool that helps publishers and app developers easily create, check, and update their ads.txt (for websites) or app-ads.txt (for mobile apps) files ensuring your inventory remains authorized, verified, and compliant with programmatic standards.
Maintaining a valid ads.txt or app-ads.txt file is essential for proper ad serving and for maximizing your revenue potential. Many advertisers only buy from verified publishers that use these files correctly.

If you’re monetizing mobile apps, make sure you’re using app-ads.txt — the mobile version of ads.txt designed for apps in Google Play and App Store.
To verify correct setup:
1. Host the file at the root of your developer website, the same URL listed in your app store listing.
Example: https://yourdeveloperwebsite.com/app-ads.txt
2. Include all Clickio lines provided by your Account Manager.
3. Ensure your file is publicly accessible and returns a valid response in a browser.
4. Periodically check your status in the Clickio Ads.txt tab to confirm ongoing validation.
