Clickio Consent FAQ
The Clickio Consent website is located at https://clickio.com/consent/. It supports both websites and mobile applications, giving publishers and app developers a certified, compliant solution for managing user consent.
Is Clickio Consent Google certified CMP?
Yes, Clickio Consent Management Platform (CMP) is a Google Certified CMP, which proves Clickio Consent’s compliance with TCF v2.2 update. Publishers and app developers who monetize European traffic with Google (on websites or apps) can confidently rely on Clickio Consent as their certified CMP, ensuring effective management of user consent and maintaining transparency and user control over online advertising.
Can users revoke consent using the tool?
Yes. We provide publishers and app developers with a method to re-open the consent dialog:
-
On websites, this is done via a link that must be placed on the site.
-
In apps, the consent dialog can be re-triggered via the SDK integration.
Is Clickio Consent compatible with the IAB framework?
IAB Europe developed a framework that allows end-users to give very granular consent (for specific purposes and even individual vendors).
Clickio participates in the Framework as a registered Consent Management Provider (CMP ID 63). We are fully compatible with the framework. Compatibility applies to both web and in-app environments.
How often is the IAB vendor list updated?
We store a cached version of the IAB vendor list to speed up delivery, the original IAB vendors list is updated weekly.
How often is the Google vendor list updated?
We store a cached version of the Google vendors list to speed up delivery, it is synced daily with the original version.
In which cases the consent dialog is shown again?
The consent dialog will be shown again in both websites and apps in the following cases:
- The user clicks on the “Change Privacy Settings” link.
- The publisher changes the Cut-off date in the Consent settings.
- Significant changes have been made to the vendor list chosen by the publisher.
- The user consent was last updated almost 13 months ago or more and needs to be re-retrieved.
According to the mentioned above, it is a totally valid situation, when both ads and consent popup are displayed simultaneously in case there was previously stored user consent.
